Based in Baghdad, Iraq Al Rafidain supports aspiring filmmakers and provides a robust production base in Iraq — believing in breaking down cultural barriers in order to tell human tales.

The company has received over 84 international, global, Arab, and Iraqi awards for the films it has produced — including feature films such as Ahlaam, Son of Babylon, In the Sands of Babylon, and Path of Mariam. It has also produced acclaimed documentaries including In My Mother’s Arms and Iraq: Love, War, God, and Madness, alongside short films like My Name is Mohammed.

Beyond production, Iraq Al Rafidain runs a mobile cinema festival — taking outdoor screenings of its films to Baghdad and other provinces across Iraq — and conducts workshops to train the next generation of Iraqi filmmakers.
